The Planétarium de Montréal invites you to explore the universe through its immersive shows and astronomy exhibitions. To help preserve the calm of the space, please follow these guidelines.
Please keep your proof of admission, whether an entry ticket, membership, or another form of access, with you at all times during your visit.
Permitted at the Planétarium

Permitted at the Planétarium
- Exploring all the astronomy exhibitions
- Taking part in educational activities and special events
- Asking questions to the science interpreters
- Sitting comfortably in the seats and beanbags to watch the films
- Accredited service dogs and other animals recognized by an accredited organization are permitted
Prohibited activities intended to preserve the quality of the visit
- Eating or drinking in the theatres or exhibition halls
- Riding a bicycle, skateboard, or inline skates inside the Planétarium
Sales and solicitation
Unless special authorization has been granted by the Planétarium management, it is strictly forbidden to distribute, offer, display, or sell any services, articles, or merchandise of any kind on the site.
Begging and solicitation are also prohibited.
Photography and filming, subject to certain conditions
As in the other Espace pour la vie museums, authorization is required for film shoots, audio or video recording, and any commercial or professional photography.
The following are not permitted:
- Capturing images or video during screenings in the Planétarium’s theatres
- Filming museum staff members
- Using a drone inside the Planétarium or to fly over the building
Courtesy and consideration for others
Children under 13 must remain under the supervision of a responsible adult at all times.
The following are not permitted in our spaces:
- Being shirtless. A shirt must be worn at all times.
- Sleeping in public areas or on museum furniture
- Disposing of waste anywhere other than in designated bins
- Using two-way radios (walkie-talkies), whether for personal use or group management
Any uncivil behaviour that is unpleasant or aggressive, or that affects safety or the visitor experience, may result in removal from the Planétarium.
